We are looking at purchasing a new charging trolley for our Chromebooks (either two that hold 15 Chromebooks or one that holds 30).

Someone has sent me a link to these on Amazon ... they seem a very cost effective option, however they cost much less than anything else I have seen which worries me slightly!  https://amzn.eu/d/063Mh90c

Is anyone using something like this?  Or does anyone have any suggestions for other budget-friendly options from tried and tested suppliers?

Thanks in advance!

Not worth it imo - I would stick with a popular education based brand (Zioxi, LapCabby etc). The price of these seem appealing, but the more popular branded ones aren't actually that much more, you're also getting piece of mind with the warranty.

For that particular unit, my concerns would be those plastic dividers, which I don't see lasting a year before they break leaving sharp edges, and the fact you can't lock the cables down. It also seems to be limited to just USB A charging ports, which I'm not sure would support Chromebooks adequately.

We've always gone for Lock N Charge Carrier or Joey brand trolleys for Chromebooks - https://www.lockncharge.com/en-gb/industry/education. The trolley itself is all steel and robust. Inside, they work on a basket system of five devices per basket, which works really well for us, as our building has a lot of steps, which stop us moving the cabinets themselves around. The baskets do break, but aren't expensive to repair or replace, including some bits we've had as courtesy replacements.

We've also used Zioxi, for an iPad charging solution. They tend to be less heavily constructed (the one we bought was made of wood) but it sits in a locked cupboard so that's fine. Build quality has been perfectly good though, and support were good when I broke a few of the bits during assembly.

Hi.

What size chromebooks are you looking at?

Can range from chromebooks to chromebooks plus which can be 16inch with full keyboards.

Ah yes, good point!  Our Chromebooks are the smaller 11.6" but would like something that is capable of holding up to around 14" size just in case we size-up at a later date.

Thanks
