Smoothwall Monitor - not updating Version, Last Seen or Last Capture dates

Hi

 

We have over 1000 Windows devices all running v2.9.5 of Monitor deployed using a GPO, I've downloaded the latest v2.10.2 and pushed this out to 9 devices to test.

I've confirmed the old version has been stripped off and the new version deployed.

 

However in their console, several hours later, it's still showing the old version and the last seen and capture dates are not updating.

 

Anyone seen anything similar?

Ah - think I've spotted what I've done wrong!

For a vaguely similar issue 

 

Try running a GPupdate /force 

And if that fails, try generating an alert (I kept typing 🔫 on one of our test users)

The GPO that I removed (to uninstall the old version) also had an element to push out the licence key.

 

I've now separated that in to it's own GPO and one of the devices is now reporting correctly

That would do it! I’ve had similar moments before - it’s there, it’s installed why can’t I see it 🤷‍♂️😵
