InTune - My first problem, sharepoint drives

Wondering if anyone can help, got intune onedrive silently working and logging in. Works a treat.

 

however when adding sync libraries its doing nothing which is a pain. does anyone have any ideas?

I have done the asci thing but deep down I wish MS already knew the sharepoints with a easy assign to box as i am an admin for both already!

We've always had a significant delay with forcing library sync via InTune which might be what you are seeing? Here they either add it manually - or we now recommend the user adds a shortcut to their OneDrive to access them from there.

Have those setting here, seen it apply successfully for 8 out of 10 users.... doesn't always appear in file explorer for some, always appears when using the one drive app via quick access.

Either as @DWilson1997 has mentioned, use the add shortcut to OneDrive option, as in my experience this works MUCH better than syncing libraries. Or stump up money and purchase a solution like CloudDriveMapper.

Another vote for CDM. Microsoft themselves admit that the OneDrive client starts having issues when syncing more than 300k files (plus it will take long for the initial sync to complete when they log in to a PC for the first time), and they seem to be leaning more towards having users add just the folders they need as shortcuts through the web UI/Teams.

 

We're only paying about £500pa for CDM in a large primary, the prices aren't too bad for schools, and I don't think the price has gone up that much in the 7 years we've been using it, either (been with them since late V1/early V2, now on V3)

Ah man i am trying to reduce cost, i just paid a good few bags for A3 and now charging for this.

I dont mind moving to cloud but some core features are so half baked.

I have waited a while and it has appeared, i am wondering if i just tell staff to use the browser for it. i mean there using the browser anyways better then a cost solution.

In that case look at the add shortcut to OneDrive option. It’s dead simple to use, taking only a few clicks to setup, if they really want to access a shared folder from File Explorer.
