Evening all

I want a dashboard to give me and my team a live overview of the health of our network and alert is to high or critical priority incidents. I'd like it to ingest data from our antivirus (Trellix), endpoint management platform (Tanium), Network management (Cisco DNAC and ISE) and active directory.

Is this a job for our web developer or is there a product out there? Open source is our preference, but we'd consider paid products.

Would Datadog Cover all you need?

Use them for personal stuff and pretty decent product once you get used to it. Can do single pain of glass stuff too.

Side note: Got a free shirt from them Many Many years ago (6-8) and despite almost weekly wear, the printing on it is still fine

I'm not sure a school budget would stretch that far! I'm working for a global retailer, spending in excess of £40k per month on cloud hosting and we can't afford datadog!

That said; there are some free things that would suit better.

My go to would be Grafana - easy to use and build complex dashboards. It allows numerous data sources to be used, and has a thriving community.

We are using Grafana/prometheus. It's an incredibly popular combo for metrics

My own reading had pointed to grafana and there are people in our organisation already using it for other purposes.

I'm glad to find other Edugeeks using it - I didn't mention it in my first post to avoid influencing the answers!

I'm not in a school any more, but this is still the most knowledgeable and helpful forum around! We have more money flowing through the organisation, but we don't (and never will) make a profit, so money is tight.

The expensive software mentioned in my original post is provided by the "enterprise". We don't have any choice about paying for it, so we use it. Anything in our division is usually open source or low cost.

In addition to that list, I'd suggest Checkmk. We've been using free edition for years.

Here's the list of things that you can point it at: https://checkmk.com/integrations?distributions[]=check_mk
