Michael Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Does it crash other applications such as Adobe Reader? What about when performing a Windows test page?
ZeroHour Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 It smells of a printer driver crashing the spooler. Your event log should state if the spooler service crashes. I would probably remove all printers and then restart the Print Spooler service and then right click the printer folder that shows printers and select "Server Properties" and then the driver tab and remove them all and try adding one printer again.
altecsole Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Any chance you have Kyocera printers installed with different versions of the same driver? We had a similar problem when we added a new printer to our server with an updated driver. You need to make sure that all the printers use the same version of the driver; the new driver should have drivers for your old printers too. If this is your problem you'll need to delete the kyocera printers and drivers from client machines before adding them back.
