RISE and Google Classroom

Hi all,

 

Hope you are well.

 

One of my schools is working with RISE (Regional Improvement for Standards and Excellence) through the DFE. I have been told by the Head that this is all done through Google Classroom, but we are a M365 school. Is this correct if anyone else is dealing with RISE? As I really do not want to have to maintain a second system and give staff separate google emails unless I really have to?

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like there is a way to link M365 and Google Classroom, without needing to use Gmail or new logins. Just need 5 mins to set it all up.

We are a RISE school and haven't heard anything like that. Although we use both Google and Microsoft so it may be something thats gone under the radar as its something we already have in place. 

 

Yeah you can link them so you use your Microsoft details to login through Google but Google still requires the matching email address (unless there's a different way!)

It might be that the MAT assigned to supporting your school is using Google rather than Microsoft, hence all support and resources coming in via Google Classroom.
