pete Posted August 27, 2025 Posted August 27, 2025 If you're using either O2 or Vodafone for business phones/SIM cards in various premises equipment, how awful is the backend (ordering new SIMs/Phones/etc)? cheers Pete
DalekSec Posted August 27, 2025 Posted August 27, 2025 We use Vodafone, have around 200 Lines, on their VCO (Vodafone Corporate Online) platform and to put it lightly, it is pants, very slow, very hard to find way around and the support is near 0. 1
pete Posted August 29, 2025 Author Posted August 29, 2025 ^ beginning to think so. A quick look through reddit implies the O2 backend is fairly awful. EE/BTOnePhone/WTF they're calling themselves at the moment is pants too. And I doubt any of them have customer-accessible APIs. So the question is "how much of a premium am I willing to pay to delegate this faffing off to a reseller"?
TechMonkey Posted August 29, 2025 Posted August 29, 2025 That seems to be it. Three don't have a portal, though apparently one is in the works, though that may be on hold now till they merge with Vodafone. You have to email their customer support team, which is lovely, but I tend to want to do something when it happens, not update someone else to wait for it to happen. I have used Vodafone's and, yes, clunky covers it perfectly. You could do a lot with it, but it was definitely born out of the early 00s.

Three do have a portal but it's quite limited and only 1 person can have access!
