Hi

I created a shared calendar about 15 years ago in on prem exchange and can't remember how I did it. I seem to recall that I created a shared mailbox then added a calendar to the shared mailbox. I just need to create a shared calendar in M365 so that all staff can see a shared calendar and only two or three people having permissions to edit the calendar. I just want users to be able to see the new shared calendar under 'My calendar' within Outlook 365 and also using the outlook desktop client.

Thanks!

All we've done is create a calendars account within M365. We then create the calendar and share it with edit permissions to the person who is responsible for populating it. Once it's ready, it's then shared to all staff across the trust.

The concept in prem exchange was creating a public calendar but that approach has been dropped by MS many moons ago.  As mentoned, it's a case of sharing a calendar from an account and editing the permissions of who can see it and who can edit.  We too have a 'calendar' account that a number of calendars are created within and permissions tweaked as necessary.  You can also create a public html version of it that we use to publish on our website.
