Hi

For years as a local authority we have used Datto RMM for device management, software deployment, asset management etc.etc.

At £10k a year for 1000 devices does this seem reasonable compared to what you use?

What other software can you recommend?

We are based at the LA office and all schools are on different networks so makes things a little less easy as all support is done across the internet rather than internal LAN.

Thanks

I would look into Action1, it's free for the first 200 endpoints - I also (think) they do education discount on further licenses.

Is that JUST for patch management?

I need to be able to take control, deploy applications, compile and run scripts....

Hi, sorry should have mentioned in my first reply. Yes, it is a full RMM tool, with the ability to remote desktop onto devices, deploy applications from their library (or create your own custom packages) deploy updates, and also run scripts on your endpoints remotely.

I second Action1, we have been using it for a few months and cant fault it.

It has a very useful vulnerability scanner built into it too.

I know each case will be different but how many devices do you manage and how much do you pay? Don't need to go down the new software route if it doesn't save money really 🙂

We manage under 100 endpoints within Action1 so still fit within the "free" tier. I am unsure on pricing over 200 devices, although I am certain I saw somewhere on a forum a while ago, it was roughly ~£2 per device per year. Definitely double check though, as I could be completely wrong.

I would speak directly with [email protected].

He would be able to price you according to the quantities and your specific needs.

Quote removed due to confidential pricing being hidden.

I am guessing you have spoke with Dru. Did you explain how much you were paying for your current product?
