I have a useless iron that doesn't get creases out and always seems to self clean on my clothes when ironing. So... I'd like to get a new iron, something not too expensive under £50. But not a self cleaning iron! Also, with winter coming and not being able to dry clothes due to the rain I need to get a dryer. I don't want to drill any holes in the wall (not my flat!) so it needs to be a condenser dryer. Again, not too expensive! So, I'd be very grateful if anyone can post some recommendations!

I vote for no iron, the creases soon drop out after you've worn them for a while! On the dryer front, do be aware that they consume a LOT of electricity. We got rid of ours, and it saved us a small fortune in power! Mike.

Vegas Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 We've got an Indesit Dryer (condenser), had it for 18 months now and the wife assures me that it's brilliant, sorry but i've no idea what model it is or what we paid for it.
elsiegee40 Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Get the tumble drier, but dispense with the iron. If you get stuff out of the drier quickly give it a good shake and put it straight on hanger, it's unlikely that ironing will be needed
