Filtering Interactive Boards?

Just wanted to ask a quick question on how everyone else is filtering / restricting / securing their interactive boards. 
 

We haven’t got many so usually don’t connect them to the internet and just use HDMI from a laptop/desktop, but we’re looking to tear out all our projectors over summer, so I’m wondering how everyone else is managing and filtering the built in browser / features. It seems that identifying users for role / identity based filtering would be difficult(?) but limiting the boards to student level access would block things like Youtube that teachers often use..

 

How are you doing it?

Reserve them/vlan them off, set them to student+YouTube via their IP?

 

Probably the quickest method.

Yeah, I would definitely look at transparently proxying their traffic on a restricted (but not authenticated) vlan.

All unauthenticated devices default to student level web filtering here, so we just keep them on the normal VLAN.

on seperate VLAN, with student level filtering applied to all users. No authentication via the board

As unautnenitcated device it get's strict pupil filtering from the LA smothwall, as all unauthenticated devices should.

Smoothwall Filtering Via Radius/Wifi ( Filtered as a student) - All boards have their own AD account for Radius Auth  ( allows me to block if need be )

 

One thing to watch out for is make sure AP hotspot is disabled on all boards
