WithoutMotive Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Anyone else been caught up in the delay of the SATS results? We have, unfortunately. We're still missing English but apparently they should be available for us this Friday. I've been checking every other day since the beginning of the holidays. Teachers have been coming in wanted to know where they are and what's going on. It's all been good fun.
FN-GM Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 We got all ours a good few weeks ago. Why are they delayed? Z
WithoutMotive Posted August 19, 2008 Author Posted August 19, 2008 It's due to this stupid delay in marking. They're not done in any particular order so a select few schools have some results still to come in. Still, they're expected on Friday so we'll see what happens.
Linfit Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 We are still missing English and I check every day. The web site is showing 25absent for one of the English papers and I know there were only 2 absentees the entire week. Also showing some pupils with marks for one english paper and absent the other, though the papers were taken on the same day and I know there were only the two pupils absent. I think they have lost some of our papers.......sigh. One for the boss when he comes in tommorrow I think.
kmount Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Glad this isn't my problem or I'd have killed someone by now.
WithoutMotive Posted August 19, 2008 Author Posted August 19, 2008 Every time I've had a look for an update I've been told we only have 1% of our English results. It's been like that all summer.
Sylv3r Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Won't happen again next year as ETS have had their contract ripped up. US firm ETS loses contract after Sats exam fiasco | Education | guardian.co.uk
WithoutMotive Posted August 19, 2008 Author Posted August 19, 2008 Yeah, the sense of panic rose here when that news was discovered. People were wondering whether we'd EVER get the results. Turns out ETS are going to make sure all the results are out before completely parting company.
Oops_my_bad Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 I assume ETS still gained financially for the full term despite the contract being finished
GrumbleDook Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 We only have 49% of our results electronically ... however we have some of the missing marks due to the scripts being back in ... and it looks like ETS may not have a record of these!
WithoutMotive Posted August 20, 2008 Author Posted August 20, 2008 I assume ETS still gained financially for the full term despite the contract being finished No, they don't. They have to pay back £19.5m and cancel invoices worth £4.6m. BBC NEWS | Education | Sats marking contract is scrapped
