watchguard Authentication setting

Hi All,

 

I've inherited a Watchguard Firewall in a school i now support. never used this so a steep learning curve.

 

They use Authentication with AD but I have a set of IP that will connect to the WiFi but have no internet and wont connect to the Auth page.

 

so for example 10.67.25.0 range will connect but 10.67.26.0 range wont.

 

any ideas on watchguard where I add that range to accept the AUth page

Do you have a policy listed in policy manager something along the lines of WG-Auth-WebBlocker, is the the address range listed in the from on that or not?

 

Not a part of watchguard I use so not 100% on that but worth a look there first.

@pickman, I inherited a Watchguard when I started here a few years ago having never even heard of them and I cannot recommend Epicnet enough for support. Small, caring, unassuming company to the point where I had no idea for months that I had actually been dealing with the owner as he is hands on taking calls and offering technical assistance.

You should have a policy that starts with HTTP- and HTTPS- you'll need to add the second range to here.

 

Feel free to PM me - I have have only ever used watchguards, but by no means an expert!

If you range is on the firewall and set as trusted if the policy hasn't been changed on HTTP HTTPs that will be listed.

 

I manage just shy of 200 Watchguard devices but its not a feature we use so not 100% sure on that side of them.
