CyBeRkId2002 Posted February 12, 2025 Posted February 12, 2025 We have had a few users recently working on different computers around the school and files not syncing well. They are typically non-Microsoft Files (text and html is the Biggie) and I am fairly sure it is due to logging off too quickly before the file has synced (I suspect pupils may be clicking log-out, potentially with files saved but still open, or possibly not saved and relying on the "Do you want to save this file" prompt). This means files sometimes do not sync, and sometimes they create duplicates (with the computers file names) Other than user education is there anything we can do to minimise this? We are early in moving to OneDrive as our primary storage and think issues like this could hinder progress
Oaktech Posted February 13, 2025 Posted February 13, 2025 Our biggie is Notebook files. We're telling staff and students to check the file is visible in the OneDrive or Sharepoint website before logging off.
