Dos_Box Posted February 5, 2025 Posted February 5, 2025 I'm just starting to look at venues for our EDIT 2025 Conference and need your help. Currently we are looking at locations in the Midlands and North. If you have ever been to an EDIT Conference before, you know that we do like to host them in interesting places and if you an idea as to what would make a great location for this, then please let me know and I'll add it to the list. The conf is intended to go back to it's orginal slot, the end of May school holidays for the first time since lockdown. Please note that vnues should ideally have good road and rail links to allow members to get to the event as easily as possible. Currently I have the National Motorcycle Museum (Birmingham NEC) and the National Video Game Museum (Sheffield) and the National Railyway Museum at York on my shortlist. If you know of any venues near you that would fit the bill, then please feel free to suggest them here 1

BKGarry Posted February 5, 2025 Posted February 5, 2025 It is... Don't worry, they put you away in a special room while you do the conferency bit. You say that but Myself and @Joanne got very distracted by a world famous spire at the Salisbury one and didn't make it back 3
smurfomatic Posted February 5, 2025 Posted February 5, 2025 Bletchley park? https://issuu.com/bletchleypark/docs/bp_venuebrochure (ahem) I'm sure that was already on the list, but hopefully we can have a conversation about it...
Joanne Posted February 5, 2025 Posted February 5, 2025 I'd definitely be up for the video game place in Sheffield. Went there for a book signing for Steve from go 8-bit. - - - Updated - - - If you'll have me of course 1

We did enquire to Beltchley last year, but it was very expensive IIRC, will have to take a look at my emails to\from them. 2

Dos_Box Posted February 5, 2025 Author Posted February 5, 2025 The Tank Museum would be epic, but it is out on a limb for some. I've been to Bovington many, many times in a past life and would make for an epic venue. I'll reach out to them. 2
