cwade1001 Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 Our trust is M365 cloud platform, teams, OneDrive but have been looking in Foldr, but I am not aware of the benefits this can actually bring. My only exposure to Foldr has been for schools access local servers remotely. I believe they are thinking Foldr can help with SAR's. I thought Purview would have been a better options for SARs
howartp Posted January 20, 2025 Posted January 20, 2025 We've had it for several years, to allow staff & student access to their MyDocs and various shared areas from their iPads or at home. However I've just looked and we are only averaging 15-20 users per day (excluding the snow days last week) - which is likely the same small set of users, out of the 2000 we have. I probably need to review it at renewal.
MatthewL Posted January 20, 2025 Posted January 20, 2025 If you are already using 365 then is it needed? More for local file servers, its a good product but things have moved on probably for most.
kennysarmy Posted January 20, 2025 Posted January 20, 2025 We use it but can't see it will be retained once our user's data is in OneDrive & SharePoint.
DrCheese Posted January 20, 2025 Posted January 20, 2025 Buying this when you have 365 is pretty pointless IMO - What's the SAR justification? Those are fairly straightforward to do in the compliance portal.
midweek Posted January 20, 2025 Posted January 20, 2025 Similar to others, we have it but won't be renewing as we've migrated almost everything to Sharepoint which makes it redundant for us.
