Classcharts - Disappearing Positive Points Issue

Hello, first time poster, long time lurker here.

 

For the past 5 to 6 weeks, positive points have been disappearing from our Classcharts. They are there when I run my weekly behaviour reports on a Friday afternoon, then by Monday morning the vast majority of the positive points (but not all) are gone, as if they have been deleted. Only positive points are affected, no negative points have disappeared. We also have Bromcom. All points logged in Classcharts transfer across to Bromcom via Wonde, and all of the points (including the ones that have vanished from Classcharts) are showing on Bromcom. Classcharts support have looked into the issue and say its nothing to do with them: "its a Wonde-Bromcom issue".

 

Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, how was it resolved?Also, I don't understand how its a Wonde-Bromcom issue if the points are only missing in Classcharts. Surely if Wonde is causing points to be deleted from Classcharts then its a Wonde-Classcharts issue? Can anyone help me understand this?

 

I know the simplest solution is to just switch to using Bromcom for behaviour (why pay for a separate behaviour system when Bromcom does everything). SLT (and the teachers) are already used to Classcharts and don't want the disruption of having to learn to use something else. They may be forced to learn to use Bromcom behaviour if this issue can't be resolved though.

Jus thinking non-technical but it isn't something silly like a student has a logon and is deleting the positives of other students on a weekend? I have a feeling when I used ClassCharts a long time ago anything deleted in ClassCharts post sync - also had to be deleted in SIMS (at the time!) manually.

Its not impossible, but if it is a student deleting the points (or a staff member for that matter) they are very dedicated. We usually have around 25000 positive behaviour points logged each week, by the Monday there are only around 1500 points remaining. There's no bulk delete tools in Classcharts (other than the reset all button which resets everything), so they would have to be spending hours every weekend manually deleting each positive behaviour log one at a time.

Hmm cant help with the technical issue but if I had Bromcom I wouldnt be useing the data breech and downtime fest that is classcharts. You could spend that 5k a year on something really useful for the teachers. They'll get use to it in a week or 2.

Yes, I'm sure they'd pick it up pretty quickly. I've looked into it and logging behaviour points on Bromcom is just as easy (if not easier) than logging them on Classcharts. Bromcom has all the functionality that Classcharts has, except for the rewards shop, which was one of the sticking points for SLT I think. The disappearing positive points is making the rewards shop unusable though, so unless the issue can be fixed, Classcharts may as well be telling us "We don't want you as customers anymore. Please stop giving us your money, we don't want it."
