Anyone managed to get a site / school licence for Canva (really we want the photo-processing in Affinity).

I've filled in the form on their website - but heard nothing.

I've managed to a get a personal education licence - just for me - but really want the whole school.

Anyone know an email address or something?

They are probably pretty snowed under with the Affinity release, but they are not great at communicating. Last year it took about 3 weeks to get fully sorted. I contacted their support through their website and got a response from [email protected] that got it sorted.

When they announced it we signed up the same day, it took around a week for them to get back to us. All now setup with SSO/365 for all staff and students, works pretty good.

Hi,

We've cracked the SSO element with O365 but I'm struggling with their instructions on how to setup Group mapping so that staff are auto created in Canva as teachers.

"In your Azure SSO settings, you'll also need to create an additional Claim for attribute mapping: we need to help Canva get the right information from Azure about which users are students and which are teachers/staff.

The Azure claim transformation feature and Azure claim conditions can be used to help set this up: you can map an existing attribute to output "teacher" or "staff" based on a rule. Make sure the name of your Claim in this step is Role, and that the Namespace field is blank."

Can anyone help with this as I'm struggling to understand what they require me to do?

In the Single Sign On section of the app registration you can edit the Attributes & Claims section (2) and "Add new claim". I called mine Role. I created 2 claim conditions. User types were Members, Source is Attribute and one has a value of "Teacher" and the other has a value of "Administrator". I assigned groups to each claim, so any teaching groups to the Teacher claim and the IT Services group to the Administrator. If there is no claim they go in as a standard pupil.

Hope that helps.

Thanks - that helped.

Will test later, currently locked out of my Team Admin account as stupidly used a shared mailbox address and have now forced SSO using O365 - oops

One of my schools has a paid site-licence for the Affinity V1 suite (they didn't want to have the faff of signing in to the software). Because we have that existing relationship I went in via [email protected] for my other school that wanted the V2 softwareand they liased with their parent company on our behalf to get the free Canva/Affinity SSO sorted out.
