cookie_monster Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 I'm not much of a blogger but some friends and family have asked if i'll do one while i'm traveling so i thought i'd look into it. I can't find any blogging tools on Facebook i was hoping they would provide something as this is where i'll probably share some photos. Any recommendations?
Domino Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 well, if you did want to use facebook you could always use the notes functionality to do it. Or why not host the photos on facebook and blog on edugeek....?

powdarrmonkey Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 I would recommend WordPress.com Get a Free Blog Here over Blogger personally. You can host with them, or pull the software down and host it yourself.

somabc Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 blogger is pretty good and easy to use. but by far the easiest solution I have seen is Posterous. Totally different to other blogging platforms you don't even need to sign up for an account all you have to do is email the stuff you want to post to [email protected], words, pictures, music etc and they will do the rest. Posterous - The place to post everything. Just email us. Dead simple blog by email.

Ric_ Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 I must admit that I should use my EduGeek blog but it is soooooooo easy to use Blogger. Those wonderful people at Google have added all sorts of features such as email to blog YouTube and Picasa integration, etc., etc. One of my recent finds is the iGoogle widget-ey thing that allows you to blog straight from iGoogle.

Of course if you're going to upload photos, you'll need to get them off the camera somehow, but they're uploaded through the web interface too.

browolf Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 (edited) There's always twitter I second microblogging on twitter. it might suit you better to be limited to 140 characters, if you're not much of a blogger you can link pics with the twitpic site. and you can link your twitter posts to your facebook status with the fb twitter app. you can also make your twitter account private, so only followers you want. Sandman Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Yep. Twitter & Facebook are great platforms. MySpace is really big in the USA still too. But I still favour Wordpress cos you can link in soicla tagging to Twitter,Myspace, Windows Live and Facebook allowing you to publish to all of them.
