How does eveyone organise their Internal Phone lists.

We currerntly have an A4 sheet with all staff listed alpebetical.

I've been asked if we can group them by departments and make it a bit prettier.

Has anyone got a template that I can steal?

If your using VOIP these days can you not make use of the directories on the handsets themselves rather than physical lists? Maybe have key buttons on phones for key lines i.e. medical, reception if the phones allow?

^ Yup. Ours even have predictive entry - start typing "fred" and it'll suggest people. It doesn't stop each school office making their own list and then having to re-do them when we add numbers and call groups.

There's even a webpage with all the people on - click a person and your phone will ring them.

Our lot create small laminated cards (A6-ish), grouped by faculty/dept/role (all SLT are in one section, all admin people in another, etc).

Wow, what phone systems are you guys using?

A lot of our phones are very basic and don't have a button for directory.

Nor do they talk to our computers in anyway!

We're using 3CX with fairly generic Fanvil and Yealink phones.

Ah that explains why you have the fancy features.

We're stuck with ipecs for now. most of are phones are the basic model lip 9002.

They are missing so many basic features like a directory.

A Google sheet, published as a site if needed

You could also populate the Google Contacts information so it appears when you mouse over someone
