Logon as an administrator and take ownership of the folder and/or files you're trying to delete. This should do the trick. Of course (just so you know) you cannot delete profiles which are in use :)

Take ownership of the entire profile folder tree, then you can grant yourself full control and then delete the folder.

nuke it from orbit!

na what he said, also try rebooting 1st to make sure files are not in use and don't login as the user you want to delete (doh)

If a process or service is taking the ownership (ie if its trying to run as the profile you're deleting) it can still cause issues.

Could always boot into safe mode and try from there.

Someone on this forums was telling me they made a startup script to delete profiles when java changes the permissions on a file so you can't delete it. This would be ideal for this, but i can't remember who it was...

Its been stated already - but I have found booting into safe mode and using delprof, or just deleting the folder will do the trick......
