chrisjako Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 So i am aware that clarion have their own CRM which does the following: 1. Caller Preview- Displays the parent/student name so you know who is calling before you answer 2. Screen Popping – Once you do answer, it will open the MIS on the parent/student record automatically. 3. Click-To-Dial functionality - No more memorising phone numbers and no more misdialling. Simply find your contact and call straight from your MIS. But are there any other alternative solutions out there? Has anyone attempted to do their own
bobsmith Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 (edited) 3CX doesn't do all of that - but you can click to call any phone number. edit: we use 3CX without Clarion's CRM - I'm referring to plain 3CX. When we dumped Clarion (the company) it appeared to be run out of someone's bedroom - it was pretty bad at everything - when did they get so clever? Edited May 9, 2024 by bobsmith

LOL, yeah i just spotted 2 of those three can be done natively, i've just setup an arbor report with the import contacts template and fired it out to my BM's across the trust to respond back to me - it is a manual process though, the only thing that looks good is the ability to open Arbor when that contact calls however i dont quite know how that will work in a central MAT 3cx installation with 19 seperate Arbor sites, maybe UPWORK is my friend here to complete a cheap CRM script for point 2
Edu-IT Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Southern Communications were working on MIS integration to their VOIP system. https://www.scgconnected.co.uk/services-and-solutions/hosted-cloud-phone-systems/
HaroonEdTechPro Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 (edited) Hi there I work at a Primary School in London - I am also a developer who has integrated 3CX with Arbor where it acts as a CRM. Parent calls in, their name shows on the Caller ID (First week I implemented it, our Team loved that parents thought we 'instantly recognised their voices' rather than knowing we had caller ID) - a pop-up displays on our Staff members screen with the Call History, Children who attend school and options to open the child's profile direct to Attendance etc. This saves so much admin time our average attendance call is less than 20 seconds now. I am happy to accept PMs from schools who would like to trial this software (free of charge for 6 months) out before I look at packaging it and selling it as a solution. Thanks Haroon Edited June 26, 2024 by Haroonbg
Michael Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Are any VOIP developers on here integrating with Bromcom as well as Arbor?

Thanks Haroon Does this work at MAT level? We’ve got 2 schools, and 3 joining our 3CX server this summer. Will this work for every school or does it have to be individually done per school? We’re not currently using the web client for calls, but have Fanvil X4U’s mainly. Would the parent / student name show up on these handsets?

All schools see Caller ID names no matter which school it is, however the pop-up on the screen is Access Controlled to the appropiate school, so if a parent is only a contact within the an MAT's Primary School the parent and their children are not shown in a High School's pop up (if requested), for example. Options are available to writeback Attendance quickly too. Haroon Edited July 23, 2024 by Haroonbg

HaroonEdTechPro Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Will you be able to implement this via SIMS/SIMS NextGen too? Desktop SIMS is supported. I have spoken to our integration partner, Wonde, and yes SIMS NextGen is also supported. Haroon 1

Does it display the caller on these handsets? Very much interested in this. Callum

HaroonEdTechPro Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 (edited) Hi all, Quite a few of you have been asking about my solution. I am happy to say I have a basic web site up and running although way more information about the products will be added in the coming weeks, so probably best to have a look in September https://www.edtechpro.co.uk We offer two solutions Portal Lite - which links Caller ID to 3CX for schools (works with MATs). And screen popping where available to your MIS, if not available we provide a middle-man interface that will show you basic details such as Parent's Name and Children's Info. Portal Pro - everything Portal Lite does but allows you to write Attendance and view Call History from a middle-man software, making it easier not having to dip in and out of profiles, as soon as a Staff member answers a call the person can take attendance directly from our interface. Our product has had years of being tested in schools and developed on to be minimalistic but powerful. We also have robust security measures and Data Protection policies and agreements in-place to meet all the legal requirements schools need. Haroon Edited August 7, 2024 by Haroonbg
