Its free for schools but it doesn't work for us anymore as I think the IP/ISP is blocked. Rang them to investigate and got no where.

Strange as I found them nothing but helpful. Might be worth going back to them. They even whitelisted our external IP so we don't need to go through the process of verifying our location through an app or what-not.

We are considering a move away from ClickView as the costs for the service have continually risen, it's not viable really to continue.

Before we engage with providers can anyone advise if eStream (now Uniguest eStream) has generally been a cheaper proposition?

Yep we have it and their cloud version does the job for us!

Although saying that, I think Sharepoint would do just as good a job these days

Just jump on this as I've had an e-mail from our ClickView account manager that our costs are going to go up - and what they are proposing is now making the service unviable here in the school. I have a meeting with them tomorrow to discuss.

May need to look at alternatives now - real shame.

Microsoft Stream—Enterprise Video Platform | Microsoft 365 works great, it uses SharePoint as the backend I think and is free.

We decided against ripping anything to Sharepoint direct as we'd be directly liable for copyright issues. At least when stuff was on Clickview, you had their backing/support on this & most of the time what you wanted had been saved by them from FTA TV.

It's annoying but ripping DVD's of a film is illegal, but keeping the FTA copy from TV isn't.

We have the same stance and purchased eStream as an alternate to Microsoft Stream.

Did they say why costs are increasing as looking at recent renewals ours has been pretty static over the past 4 years.

What kind of percentage increase were you looking at compared to what you're currently paying?
