Good afternoon,

I have been asked to look at solutions for managing IOS and Android devices across the trust (20 schools) and would like to know what other trusts are using.

Please let me know what you're using, and any PROs and CONs you can think of.

Thanks

Jamf school... used it in my old trust of about 30 schools. Central Apple School Manager tenant with each school as a location. Then a central jamf tenant with each school as a separate instance. Worked very well.

I Second Jamf School. I've seen it deployed across multiple schools/trusts now with each location having it's own instance under the main trust account. You can then restrict access to different locations for different techs. I don't see any con's apart from if you decide to go down the Mac route and want a MDM for those as well, if that's the case i'd be more inclined to go for Jamf pro as it's better for managing Macs but still has the functionality to manage iPads just in a slightly more complex layout

Jamf is great albeit it does not manage Android devices only IOS, I only have a couple of android phones that are currently unmanaged but not sure on an ideal solution for those bar Intune.

If you use Office 365 then it would be worth looking at Intune. Perfectly capable on both iOS and Android, and there’s some benefit to the integration of your MDM with the EntraID directory, security, etc you have for O365.

Just to note Jamf School and Jamf Pro both integrate with EntraID's as well....iOS works perfectly fine in an Office 365 environment.
