DaveIT Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 Hi two of my teachers have reported that their ActivPanel's keep unfreezing randomly, without any button presses on the remote or front panel while they are doing some important work. I've seen this happen myself on one of the panels. One of the panels is a AP4-75. Has anybody else experienced this and do you have a solution? I have been told that disabling PIRs Auto Wake Up? fixes this problem, Does anyone know where this option is? Thanks DaveIT
howartp Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 Not with ActivPanels but we have this week with Iiyama TVs. We suspect a student has a remote or IR blaster on their phone, though the teacher thinks it's more random than that.
IT_CoffeeNeeded Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 We have CTouch Boards and a similar issue occurs with them unfreezing themselves. This is due to Powerpoint auto changing the display to extended mode for the presenter view. When the teacher freezes the board and comes out of the presentation the settings switch back to duplicate. This thread may help https://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows-10/234439-pc-losing-duplicate-extend-settings.html
DangPro Posted March 11, 2024 Posted March 11, 2024 Hi DaveIT The freeze only stays in effect until a signal change is detected. It could be an app that changes screen resolution for a presentation or video. Computer goes to standby/sleep. PowerPoint and Google Slides do make video changes that can cause the freeze to stop. One way to resolve this might be to use an app that doesn't change the video signal.
