Hi all

 

I've just been trying to submit a request for the council about fly tipping

came across the normal problem with the photo I took as evidence - the image file was too big

 

I normally open it in GIMP and re-export it at reduced quality - but I have to guess at a percentage and then check it

 

I was wondering what other people use and if there is a better (FREE!!!) thingy for reducing image file sizes??

 

I know I used to do this when I was teaching DIDA at GCSE level to get the kids projects down below the maximum limit - but I have no idea about the best thing currently available

 

thought you lot might have better ideas
