Hi all, Do we have any current or ex RM Engineers that were around during the Connect 2.4 commissioning era?

I've supported/managed Connect 2.4 along with CC3/CC4 in numerous Schools I've worked with over the last 30 years and removed RM from almost all of them, but I was never an RM engineer.

Removed as it was a waste of money and reduced ability to run a network. It made sense with windows 3.11 but when NT4 came a long it was silly.

Connect 2.4 is our final piece of the puzzle to put together for our museum, so we are looking for any engineers that commissioned this product in its time that could maybe send us a PM.

I used RM CC2.4 as a student at school.

Removed CC2.4 for vanilla XP/2003 in my first job as a Network Technician in 2004.

Got TUPE transfered to RM in 2009 and supported the transition from vanilla XP/2003 to RM CC4 with Windows 7/2008.

Left RM for a Network Manager role in 2014, supported CC4 for a few years before I replaced it with vanilla Server 2016/2019 and Windows 10.

Inherited two schools in our Trust merger that use CC4, but thankfully, I'm not having to support it!

Inherited A windows 7 RM school few years ago with rmunify

 

No Rm experience but moved all to vanilla and decommissioned as part of Windows 10 migration

Pretty sure this guy came to our site while we were running a beta around the Connect 1 / 2 transition. He may have been more focused on a colleagues re-write of the app deployment manager (which was quite the hit on the RM BBS).
