  1. Connect 2.4 is our final piece of the puzzle to put together for our museum, so we are looking for any engineers that commissioned this product in its time that could maybe send us a PM.
  2. Hi all, Do we have any current or ex RM Engineers that were around during the Connect 2.4 commissioning era? Kind Regards RM User Group
  3. Hi, On the CC4 First Server, normally there is the RM Unify AD Sync Tool where you can define these settings. It should be on the Start Menu in All Programs, and you may need to configure some rules in the tool for your AD Organisation Units. Best regards James
  4. Ah, we all made it... another full academic year completed, wishing everyone a happy Summer Holidays! Of course for us IT guys and girls, the Summer Holidays still means work (unknown to the staff that say "Have a lovely break...", but often a little more relaxed and fun! Just a reminder, RM User Group are always looking for any unwanted old Educational Software, RM Software CDs, DVDs and Hardware. If one of your jobs is clearing out that dark cupboard and you come across anything you may think is useful to us, please consider us and send us a PM, we don't mind dust! 5. Hi There, We currently have the version for a CC3 Network "RM Maths Learning System 1.4" as well as the teachers edition (Which I assume is the Home version), I am sure we can setup a demo of it for you. 6. I remember in a previous job I had issues installing Smoothwall on an appliance. If memory serves me correct, it was because you couldn't use the standard ISO image available from the customer download website, it had to be a Caswell Appliance image that came in the format of .IMG instead of .ISO, I remember having the same issue failing at the partitioning stage. Also, the Caswell image is the only one that includes the LCD driver otherwise you won't get the LCD working on your S8. Reach out to Smoothwall and ask them for the latest S8 Caswell installable image. Hope this helps. RM User Group James

  9. Hi all, we have had a brilliant response to CC3 & CC4 donations for which we are very grateful. We would love to find some of the older RM Connect CDs. Main items are the Connect 2.4 Upgrade & Windows 98SE client update. If you think you may have anything of interest please get in touch. Thanks for looking. Chris

  10. We have managed to find the Service Release 2 Forest Root CD, but only 1 CD out of the 4 included in SR2. I know its a long shot but if anyone does have the SR1 / SR2 media, it would be greatly appreciated. Best regards James
  11. Just bumping this thread to see if anyone else has these CD's or in fact any for CC4? Hoping someone is having a clear out this half term
  12. @davipton That would be amazing! Thank you so much.
  13. Thread Update Luke has kindly confirmed above he has Service Release 2, so we are just needing Service Release 1 now. Thank you everyone for your help!
  14. Hi Luke, This is amazing! Could I get an image of these discs using something like PowerISO? We have the CC3 to CC4 Upgrade Discs, except the Additional Server and Post Install CD. I am so glad someone has Service Release 2, at least that is 1 off the list, just need to find SR1 now. Feel free to PM me. Thank you so much! James
  15. I have heard so many stories of early CC4, and how unstable the product was. CC4 seemed more functional once SR2 was released, but I am lucky I never touched CC4 in the early days on a live network.
  16. Ah that is a shame, it seems everyone has recently cleared out these CDs. We actually do have the Network Operations and Reference Manual, as well as several manuals for RM Tutor but thank you very much for the offer, much appreciated. Best regards James
  17. We are lucky enough to have been donated the CC3 to CC4 Upgrade Discs (Just missing the Additional Server and Post Install CD), so we got the full experience of running the upgrade! This is why we are looking for SR1 and SR2 to remove many of the bugs in early CC4. That's a shame about clearing out, although you did hold on to them for some time. James
  18. I forgot to mention on this post, its quite possible they are stored in what was the "CC4 Network Binder", the instructions stated to store these in a safe place such as the Network Binder. James RM User Group
  19. Good morning, Happy Friday Everyone! The RM User Group museum are once again reaching out to ask for something that may well be hidden in them dark store cupboards. We are wondering if any early CC4 schools, have kept their installation media for CC4 Service Release 1 and 2? This is something we are having great difficulty obtaining, which even RM directly don't have these anymore. Service Release 1 consisted of: CC4 Service Release 1 Forest Root CD CC4 Service Release 1 Additional Server CD CC4 Service Release 1 Station Build Update DVD 1 CC4 Service Release 1 Station Build Update DVD 2 Service Release 2 consisted of: CC4 Service Release 2 Forest Root CD CC4 Service Release 2 Replica and Member Servers CD CC4 Service Release 2 Computer Build Update DVD 1 CC4 Service Release 2 Computer Build Update DVD 2 We would be more than grateful if anyone still has these and could donate us a digital copy for our museum. RM have been very kind in donating software updates and what they could grab from their archive, however some of the products where CD/DVD only, and the only ones that still exist are potentially still in store cupboards! Best regards James RM User Group
  20. Good morning, We have many of these software titles in our library, which I am more than happy to demo you. Many of these applications where bundled with RM Community Connect 3 (CC3) networks, as well as some been offered as Curriculum Choice integration packs. Take a look at our website, and be sure to join our Discord where we have a specific section for Educational Software.
