coolhands Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 (edited) (was previously working). Hi anyone got any thoughts - MISSync not connecting to sims. On launch does log in to Parentpay website fine. In tools>settings>SIMS tab I've reentered the MIS username, server name etc and is all correct. We have MISSync on a colleagues machine same details still works ok on his machine. Checked / copied info from the working config file to this config file located in C:\Users\REDACTED\AppData\Local\ParentPay\MISSync and no difference. So in short I believe all the login info etc is correct. In the log the error occurs as below. Any ideas? (I'm not the IT guy I'm just the data manager so just trying to get anything that might help him) Info: 2023-11-10 08:40:52 : Starting MIS:Sync 4.0.7094.20768 Info: 2023-11-10 08:40:52 : ServerURL is https://www.parentpay.com/MISWS/ Info: 2023-11-10 08:40:52 : Config location is C:\Users\REDACTED\AppData\Local\ParentPay\MISSync Info: 2023-11-10 08:40:52 : Executing Framework is 4.0.30319.42000 Info: 2023-11-10 08:40:52 : From the installed frameworks Info: 2023-11-10 08:40:52 : CDF Info: 2023-11-10 08:40:52 : v2.0.50727 Info: 2023-11-10 08:40:52 : v3.0 Info: 2023-11-10 08:40:52 : v3.5 Info: 2023-11-10 08:40:52 : v4 Info: 2023-11-10 08:40:52 : v4.0 Info: 2023-11-10 08:40:52 : Finishing MIS:Sync commandline processor Info: 2023-11-10 08:40:55 : Begin connection test Info: 2023-11-10 08:40:55 : Connection to ParentPay esablished. jthompson Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 I'm not familiar with your application at all, but that looks like it might be a .NET issue. Maybe the version of .NET currently required by the app isn't present on the server?
BKGarry Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 I'm not a MISSync user at all, but I would say that it is to do with the file it is trying to load is not expecting the Operating System version (Windows version) that machine is on, is there a difference in windows between your machine and theirs in terms of windows version and/or updates and are they the same version of MISSync?
bobsmith Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 sometimes they release a new version of missync - we've had issues like this in the past where a windows update breaks it. either check the download page on parentpay or contact them direct.
