Olliedawg Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 We use local profiles for all staff & I have noticed that some users local profiles are nearly 10GB in size. Investigated this and it turns out that when they get automatically signed into onedrive, it leaves a local copy these files on the machine, in the directory C:\users\%username%\Onedrive - School name Is there a way I can prevent this via GPO? I think if this carries on over a long period it will start to fill up all of the C drives, especially with staff moving about..
MYK-IT Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 (edited) You need to enable (via GPO/Intune) OneDrive Files On Demand An example using: GPO - https://www.thewindowsclub.com/onedrive-files-on-demand-windows-10 Intune - https://letsconfigmgr.com/mem-configure-onedrive-kfm-via-intune/ You could also combine with enabling Storage Sense if local storage capacity is low. Brilliant that's exactly what I'm looking for, thank you
DaveTheTech Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 I turn on storage sense and have it set to be fairly aggressive. Files get dehydrated if they're not opened regularly. 1
