TwistedHelixis Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 On our old 2012r2 DC I could access all the Bitlocker recovery codes in AD > device > After moving to server 2019 there is no tab for this in AD. I found a forum that said I needed to install 'BitLocker Password Recovery Viewer feature', but cant seem to find this as an option anywhere. Any ideas?
andy_b Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Add Roles and Features, Remote Server Admin, Bitlocker things or Install-WindowsFeature RSAT-Feature-Tools-BitLocker-BdeAducExt, RSAT-Feature-Tools-BitLocker-RemoteAdminTool, RSAT-Feature-Tools-BitLocker 1
LeMarchand Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Go to Server Manager/Manage/Add Roles and Features and move down to Features. It's part of Remote Server Administration Tools. Did do a pic, but can't upload it. Edit: Beaten to it by my piccie problem. 2
PotNoodleTech Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 I have exactly the same problem - trying the suggestions now!
jthompson Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Worth noting that if your devices are Azure hybrid joined, recovery keys will be available in the device record in Azure also. At least, if the device is hybrid joined when encryption starts, it'll upload it automatically, but can be manually backed up to Azure after the fact if not.
