Veeam educational licencing

Hi all

 

Is there a thing as special educational licencing for Veeam. I literally just want to use Veeam to regularly backup 5 or 6 Windows servers on site but the licencing is confusing me a little.

 

Can anyone recommend me any resellers?

Veeam Data Platform Essentials (under their smb section) is £372.36 ex vat per year for 5 licenses or £744.72 for up to 10 licenses. Each license covers a VM, Server or 3 Workstations.

 

Comes bundled with Veeam One monitoring solution.

Less than 10 servers? I think you should be able to use the (free) Community Edition:

If its less than 10 “workloads” vms/servers then you can use community edition completely free.

 

Other than that id look at a VCC seller as they can “rent you a licence” thats about half the cost of buying one annually.
