Foresthippy Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 Hi, We are looking roll out 2 in 1 laptop devices for staff to use interactively and broadcast to a non-interactive TV. Looking for good battery life and performance at a reasonable cost (i.e. probably not surface pros). Anyone successfully using devices for this purpose and have any recommendations? Cheers, John
Oaktech Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 They aren't cheap new, but we've been getting refurbs at about 1/3rd of new - HP x360 convertible laptops. We've been mainly getting them for SLT who tend to be the ones to present and annotate on the non-interactive meeting room screens via MS Miracast adapters 1
localzuk Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 We had good results with Dell Inspiron 2 in 1 laptops here, until we moved away from the touchscreen idea. The prices have gone up a lot though it seems since we bought ours. (More than double it seems). 1
3s-gtech Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 I rather like the Dell Latitude 5320 I've just had in. Very decent spec. Cheaper than a Surface Pro but not 'cheap'. No built-in RJ45 for building but USB-C and a converter worked great. 1
TechMonkey Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 We are going for Dell Lattitude 5340s (actually got 5330s but they upgraded). Not cheap though by any stretch of the imagination. They have proved themselves though as a member of staff has managed to pour a glass of orange juice on one and it survived and another has managed to effectively bend it and it is still operational. 1
