Hi all,

I am rolling out a wireless upgrade at one of my schools over the summer holidays. They currently have UniFi UAP-AC-PRO's with the plastic mounting brackets. I am upgrading them to the U6 Enterprise access points and these come with the metal mounting brackets. I have read online that these brackets are cross-compatible, and I can use the AC-PRO brackets to mount the U6s - can anyone confirm if this is true?

TIA

Can confirm is true, i'm moving from AC-Pros to the U6 Enterprise APs currently (Have them right next to me!)

Oh wow great! I was hoping someone else might be too. So are you going to using the existing plastic mounting plates for the U6s?

Having recently replaced all our AC-Pro WAPS with U6-Pro I can also confirm both the plastic and metal mounting plates work, although I found the metal ones make getting the U6-Pro on and off much easier.

However, the AC-Pro don't work with the new metal plates so if you are re-deploying or selling on the AC-Pros, you'll need to swap the plates anyway.

Ok great, thanks! My only concern was that the U6 enterprise APs are over double the weight of the U6 Pro's.
