njreynolds Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 Hi Does anyone know a simple cheap cloud helpdesk ? I'm just looking to assign "change a mouse" to a user with a deadline & once its done, they can sign it off. I've looked at a few but they are all a bit complicated / expensive for a simple job. Thanks

njreynolds Posted June 19, 2023 Author Posted June 19, 2023 Awesome, thanks for the quick reply. Had a quick look, it looks great.
ITGURU Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 osticket is free, we used to host on-site but now host online with our websites with krystal uk, ssd hosting.
CHiLL Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 Freshdesk has a free plan and pretty easy to use. up to 10 agents Email notifications of new tickets/assigned etc. Presumably agents means helpdesk users/technicians/etc, rather than end users submitting tickets/interacting?
Rob_D Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 Manageengine has an up-to 10 technicians license for their support site.
EssentialRug Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 We use a Form (can use Microsoft or Google) then automate this to populate a Trello Dashboard. Also if you're a Microsoft School you could use Microsoft Lists to create yourself something simple and free?
phil0569 Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 Spiceworks Cloud, it does what it says it does and has some nifty inventory & remote support settings.
Dan2025 Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 Presumably agents means helpdesk users/technicians/etc, rather than end users submitting tickets/interacting? Yeah, 10 techs! used to be 3 so in my previous place ended up paying for more. I don't use the knowledgebase/submit a ticket via the website. they just need to send an email and it comes through nicely. Free version only allows one though, so you can't have finance/Site etc unless you make separate ones or pay!
Will.B Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 Another vote for Freshdesk, its excellent. Especially if you plan to utilise it more than what you've stated, later down the line.
robintech Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 Freshdesk as well, moved from Spiceworks and find it much better.
njreynolds Posted June 20, 2023 Author Posted June 20, 2023 THANKS ALL. I have decided to go with Freshdesk. For 4 technicians its about £500pa, so not too bad. The free version is free, apart from I don't think you can set custom SLAs - Eg: An urgent case must be resolved with an hour, etc
