[sims] NOVA-T Timetabling Scheduling Problems

Hi. Having a few problems today. I worked my way through scheduling all of the bands (see pictures). I have added new members of staff.

When I print off the overall timetable, the new staff have blank timetables and a lot of the KS3 lessons are missing.

When I hover over the bands - I have a 'block not built' message. Have I missed a step somewhere?

You need to build your blocks by adding all the pending sessions. Generally you work across the top in order, so you'd do the block screen before the bands screen. Not always the case and I tend to flick between the Block and Bands screens quite often, sometimes getting a block in place before adding the lessons to it.

Yeah, you usually would not want to do much scheduling until all the blocks are built.

 

You can build them in bulk from the Auto screen, but you need to check the results to make sure they all will build - if not you will need to resolve why - usually an issue with the block shape being wrong for a class or the proposed staffing not being possible within the block.
