GriffTech Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Hey, I'm looking to get Snipe IT, the problem I have is my business manager isn't too keen on using a service that's in dollars. If I were to go ahead and purchase it via the website does it just convert over to £ automatically?
m_m Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Snipe can be self hosted fairly cheaply and easily which might be worth exploring. Some web hosts have 1 click installers for it within CPanel. Might be cheaper than paying Snipe to host it.
DrCheese Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 We host our Snipe IT ourselves, but when I've set it up for third parties I've used Kualo web hosting https://www.kualo.co.uk/ - 1 click cpanel installation. Nice and easy + Cheap.
john Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Another vote for snipe on self host so no costs then due can run on a very basic setup an old computer would be fine.

Your credit card company will do the conversion for you and it will show up on the bill in £ Unless you're going for the $4,999.99 a year for Telephone support etc. then save $399.99 and host it yourself. Have a quick Google and you'll find instructions/guides on how to install it on Linux and even Windows operating systems. It doesnt need much in the way of CPUs and RAM so that's the way I'd go.
ITGuyNW Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Do you have a website host with cpanel? You can install snipeit through softaculous.
