It has been a strange tournament this year

Really not been into it this year. There really needs to be a new generation who takes it by the horns and runs with it. Ronnie and co getting near the final every year is getting old now.

I do like Ronnie along with a few others but yep it is getting a bit boring. One of my school friends (whilst still at secondary school) played a well known (respected) snooker champion after writing to him in the 80's.

 

Unfortunately I can't watch it live at home as I don't have a TV license.

I quite enjoy the senior tournaments, because there's some proper humans involved. People with personalities, people who enjoy a laugh and don't take it too seriously. I have all the time in the world for the likes of Jimmy White, Dennis Taylor, Ken Doherty, Mark Williams et al.

Have played Shaun Murphy a few times, although granted we were both in our very early teens! (Yes, I was thoroughly spanked!)
