DaveA Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Hi All, Working on rolling OneDrive out at present and found a bit of weirdness, had it working on a test PC with SSO for users1 , logged of and then logged in as a user2 which also worked ok but when I logged back in as user1 it did not sign into OneDrive and the OneDrive system tray icon keeps appearing as if it is trying to sign in and then disappears and then re-appears about every 1 second. Anyone seen this type of behaviour before or any ideas what might be going on? Dave.
password1234 Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Had something similar! Turned out for us the users onedrive wasnt provisioned
Frodo_Baggins Posted April 24, 2023 Posted April 24, 2023 Hi Dave, did you find anymore regarding this? I seem to have something similar on a few machines (user is provisioned) OneDrive starts fine but when the end user tries to sign in it closes after accepting the email address, seems to do the same when preview builds are enabled and updated.
cheekycharly Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 That sounds like a policy forcing it to end or something in a provisioning package stopping it.

Thanks, for me in the end it was a software deployment in PDQ set to a certain version going into a deployment loop when a newer version was installed!
DaveA Posted June 7, 2023 Author Posted June 7, 2023 Thanks for the replies, still trying to find what is going on. So problem seems a user can log into a pc, either a pupil or teacher and it looks like OneDrive tries to auto sign in but must be failing as the icon will appear in the system then disappear then reappear all within a few seconds and keeps doing it. But if you the launch the teams app and sign in on that it then signs OneDrive in and it the works as it should. I just need to try and figure out why OneDrive is not auto signing in on its own and keeps relaunching itself. I can find no errors in event logs or anything.
DaveA Posted June 7, 2023 Author Posted June 7, 2023 Is it an Azure/Intune environment Dave? We use Azure AD Sync from on prem AD to Azure. But I am not sure if I am missing any settings I should have done in Azure.
cheekycharly Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 I wouldn't think you have missed anything in Azure. Endpoint Manager / Intune would be more likely where to look if you were full cloud. I guess your policies are still kicked out by an on prem server via GPO?
