Hi There,

As a trust we are looking at potentially moving SIMS from on-prem to Hosted, has anyone had any experience of this? I know ESS are pushing the sims connected and nextgen however based on previous years i am a little apprehensive with going with SIMS connected, the other option was hosted with SCOMIS but wanted people's opinions.

Has any other trusts adopted this approach. I know there is other hosted MIS providers like Arbor, Bromcom etc but seems like the CEO wants to stick with SIMS.

Thoughts?

We've been hosted with Scomis since before I took up my role...I'd say it works really well and we have no complaints other than it's still SIMS at the end of the day.

We used SCOMIS for about 7 years until recently when we moved to ISAMS. It worked well although it was a bit slower than being on-prem. One thing that might annoy your users is they require you to change your password every 60 days or something.

Very annoying, not least as it doesn't follow the NCSC guidance.
