Mosyle -

I am trying to get Mosyle working through our Smoothwall and not having much luck. When iPads are connected to a separate network they work fine but when going through the Smoothwall filter they do not update or pick up any profile changes.

 

Has anyone successfully managed to allow Mosyle to work with Smoothwall?

Not that exact combo (we have Fortigate) but it seems we didn't have a load of standard Apple ports unblocked. Mosyle sent the following links which seemed to get everything working.

We have a Smoothwall and Mosyle. Just a thought, as I had been testing proxy setting on our iPads and those setting blocked the iPads talking to Mosyle.

I think we also needed these https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT203609 or it wouldn't pick up a management profile automatically when setting up the iPads, there may have been others too. I think we also ended up just checking the real time webfilter log for an iPad to see what was being blocked.

As per Steves post above we had to whitelist the 17.0.0.0 address block for the iPads to pull updates from Mosyle.

Thanks guys, looks like mosyle.io was not listed anywhere but I had to add that to the webfilter whitelist as well. Cheers
