Morning all,

Does anyone use Edulink One with parents? How did you find it? We've used it with pupils since the lockdown but I am now researching the parental side of it all. Wanted to find experienced users before moving along with it.

Many thanks

I'm only talking about the onboarding process here but as long as your MIS data is up to date, it's pretty much self service. We just tell parents to go to https://www.edulinkone.com/, enter our school code and then click on 'RESET LOGIN'. The site then emails them a password reset link so they can create a password. The username is their email address. No involvement from the school at all in most cases.

Only slight issue is parents who share an email address, i.e. if the Mother and Father have [email protected]. They each need a unique email address.

EduLink One itself, you already use, so you know what that's like. It's the same for parents, subject to what elements you allow them to view.

We use it soley with parents, works well here for comms. The parents evening booking is good too. Great value for money compared to other services.

As has been mentioned, a bit of housekeeping in Sims and it just works!

We've been using Edulink One for parents for a few years - It replaced our dated Parent Portal system we had. We've had no complaints from parents so far and it's set up like a one-stop shop for us. We also linked it to Google Classroom so that parents can view homework through Edulink, replacing the (in our experience) unreliable Google Guardian email summary system. My Network Manager says that it was not too difficult to get set up and Overnet were very helpful.

The only issue we sometimes run into is an incorrect parental email here or there - However, this is because it's been entered incorrectly in SIMS. Once it's corrected, Edulink pulls it through overnight and it's good to go the next day.
