stebo730 Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 I have a Apple School Manager Apple ID logged into a non-DEP iPad running iPadOS v16. Everything seems fine apart from I cannot install any apps from the App Store - It says GET but it is greyed out (or light blued out) We use Intune and an MDM - does anyone know how I can allow it to install either any App from the App Store or even curated ones. Thank you
DalekSec Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 You need to push the apps from Intune, you buy the apps in ASM, sync to intune and push from there.

Thanks DalekSec The issue is as the device isn't DEP enabled it isnt enrolled on Intune and I cannot get the Intune Company Portal App because it wont let me download any Apps from the App Store.
DalekSec Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Do you have access to a Mac? You can get the iPad into ASM via Apple Configurator and then synced with intune and the app pushed to it.
k-strider Posted March 3, 2023 Posted March 3, 2023 you can sign into the apple store with a non managed apple id then you should be able to get apps from the store you just cant do it with a managed (ASM) apple id
