Budget WI-FI Recommendations

Would anyone be able to recommend a budget WI-FI system.

 

To give you a bit of background information, a partner school is looking to upgrade its current Ruckus wireless n system. We have provided a like for like Ruckus quote of 22 AX AP’s, a virtual controller, all the relevant licences and 3 years support. In total this comes to £13,000.

 

The school have rejected this and want alternative cheaper quotes.

 

Does anyone recommend a budget manufacturer that can provide 22 AP’s for under £7000

Probably worth looking at the Aruba InstantOn series which are pretty keenly priced, and maybe the TP Link Omada EAP series which aren’t bad either.

Aruba AP22 wifi6 with 5 year foundation care will be just over £5000, or just over £3000 for the standard 2 year warranty.

Only 2x2, price goes up a lot if you want the new 4x4 AP25.

Foundation care gets you nbd replacement for the whole care period and 24x7 telephone support. Started warranty is replacement within 10 days and only 90 days telephone support.

 

UniFi will be cheaper for 4x4 but lacks the support commitment, only 1 year warranty and won’t be NBD.
