Is anyone out there using Inventry sign in system with Arbor across multiple sites in a MAT?

We are moving to Arbor soon and are unclear on how well it will work with Inventry, we are currently on SIMS and getting the two of them to work correctly has been a nightmare. It is fine for people situated at a single site but for everyone else there has been lots of problems that Inventry have not been able to fix.

I'm curious if moving do Arbor will resolve these issues.

If anyone has used them together and could give some feedback and comments about how well the integration works it would be appreciated. Especially interested to know how it works with teachers who go between sites and people from the Trust team who aren't set a permanent site.

Thanks,

I can well imaging that if invetry struggles with a single institution split over several sites it would struggle with multiple orgs (across multiple sites) syncing up with a single central MIS. Curious to know though, in what way inventry struggles with multisite?

We have had no end of inventry issues over our multisite setup. Seems to have been better this year so far so maybe they've fixed quite a few things. We did have SIMs at first but switched to iSAMs at the begining of the year all though I don't think the MIS change is what made inventry better.

We have inventry across 9 sites was Sims now Arbor the issues are present on both it would work for roaming staff sometimes then we would get invalid barcodes randomly at different sites.

We are testing a new set up with inventry at the moment with a virtual console which syncs with AD now for all staff records as we have a single domain, salamander creates a CSV with usernames and the user's net2 card number which inventry match's by username and then syncs this to inventry central. This however has problems but we are working with one of the Dev team to get a working solution as the original solution was very much each site pushing up where we want it central down.

InVentry Central just doesn't work properly at all, we're in the process of a lengthy interaction with support trying to make it work - interestingly I keep hearing we're the only ones with issues and we're using it wrong!

The issues we have are ID cards not working across all sites or users not showing up for manual sign in. It appears to effect different people in different ways. I've come to a school today where my card worked last week but this week it does not recognise it.

We've spent a lot of time working with Inventry and every time one thing gets fixed something else then breaks.

We are a MAT that uses Arbor and Inventry. As part of the central team I am able to use my access pass at each site.

Sounds promising. Do you have a separate database for the central team or are you registered at one of the schools?

Definitely not just you.

This is exactly the issue we was having one time it would work next day invalid barcode, or manual sign in the person is missing or duplicated. We progressed through support till a Dev engineer came to look at the system and they can replicate the fault. He's designed out a possible alternative solution which we have running at two of our sites to trial but have been having issues with it also. They are working though things and hopefully once this solution is working it should do what we want it to do untill they do a major rework of how inventry is designed.

A Trust I support just tried Central. Didn't do much of what we wanted so have cancelled. It was inconsistent, it caused duplicates in other sites' InVentry instances.

I am actively looking for an alternative when the renewal comes up.

Inventry have been trying to sort it for several months and sometimes they fix it and sometimes it makes it worse.

This was the issue we had so had to redesign how it worked with them.

We have a server onsite which hosts console which feeds all staff from ad into it and this syncs to a central instance and then pushes all staff data down when they scan in using their badge, which is also synced in to the console with there scan code importer so staff have no need to auto code etc.
