We had Internet issues today morning with DNS issue on the LGFL router, this issue is now resolved.

But i have now 4 devices where outlook would not connect online. The taskbar internet icon says no internet but there is internet. I can ping all websites and can access them

Last time we had 2 of these devices, I had to reimage the machines.

Has anyone encountered this? and quick fix to avoid reimage - usually wouldn't mind if its classroom but they office staff!

I suspect this is NCSI which is how windows decides it has a connection and it quite possible it decides no connection despite there being one. Look in Apps and Services Logs\Microsoft\Windows\NCSI. This might give you a clue to what its not happy with

This may help, but I've never had to look into it so I can't explain any further (only that Outlook which contacts the internet constantly would be interconnected with Windows and is therefore dependent on whether some part of it was incorrectly reporting the status of internet connectivity)... but it's been raised on here a couple of times so I'm hoping someone else can help. The link mentions O365, but I'd presume it goes for all Microsoft Office.

Running the Microsoft Outlook Connectivity Test: This tool can help to diagnose and fix problems with Outlook connectivity.

Check for any third-party add-ins or plugins that may be causing the problem and try disabling or removing them.

Check for any recent Windows updates, and if any have been installed, try uninstalling them to see if that resolves the issue.

Try using Outlook in safe mode by holding the Ctrl key while starting Outlook. This will start Outlook without add-ins and plugins, and can help to determine if one of them is causing the problem.

Might be some more info here:

In order to view the Connection Status option, you need to both hold down your CTRL key, and right-click on the Outlook systray icon. Now you should see the 'Connection Status…' option. Click on it to check your status.

Is it this?:

YMMV and UAYOR.... I looked at it but didn't use it as I wasn't sure it would be suitable for local Outlook client connectivity (seems everything is geared for O365, but it might work all the same), I just didn't want to put any credentials in (would be a good page to spoof)...
