Hello All!

 

Is anyone else experiencing the absolute pain that is this update? if so has anyone found a patch or that, that works?

 

issues we're having:

 

- It removes display drivers (auto or manually installed).

- It's now removing other drivers (like printers) too.

 

I know they stopped pushing it out for a brief spell because of the display error, they've recently pushed it out again and it's worse!

Saw the display drivers issue with 20H2 as well. Affected old (very old) Nvidia and AMD cards - thankfully I managed to pull the AMD drivers out of a 1903 install and I can manually re-add them where needed. The Nvidia cards would not play ball and had to be retired.

Before they pulled the original it would find the drivers and install them from the web. As this is affecting native and other drivers.

 

With the the reissued driver, we're installing it through driver update and going through the device websites to get the drivers but it'sstill picking it off.

The strangest thing is by logic - it shouldn't display at all but it's picking a random display and working with that.

 

It's driving me mad XD

Since the update I have laptops that will crash the display driver meaning users can't project or connect to our wireless display adapters. Have only managed to pin point that dwm.exe is crashing but have not worked out why or what the fix is yet.
