We have to load videos, some 2-3GB on to some 40 iPads.

The videos need to be easily accessible on the devices, as they will be taken to a location with littlle or no internet.

Our iPads are managed through Mosyle wich we of course use to deploy apps.

I could not find a way to send videos to the iPads using Mosyle or ASM and would like to avoid Google Drive or equivalent, because I do not want children to need to log in to a google account or use an appl I. Besides, internet will be very patchyor non exisitng.

ansfering them to each ipad via usb is lenghty and I would like to avoid this.

Any ideas?

The way this was done in a previous role was to use a paid FTP manager app, was connected to a shared area. Staff mostly used it to take photos off etc but the premium version allowed it to go the other way and would then end up accessible in the photos app.

We used FTP Manager Pro - by Skyjos CO

Airdrop/cable the alternatives I guess.

If you have AirDrop disabled for pupils like we do, perhaps a way you could do this would be to upload the video file to your website/vimeo/unlisted youtube (depending on the content of course) then share the URL of the video as a home screen shortcut in your MDM.

I do this on our Lightspeed MDM in Policies > Web Shortcuts.

FTP using Foldr was great for this a while back, before our pupils were on Google Workspace.

Thank for all the replies.

In the end FTP was the solution, partly.

Each device had to download the videos, one at a time.

What I was hoping for was some kind of deployment tool similar to what one does with apps using Mosyle and the like.

With such a tool I could send the video simltaneously to all devices, with one click.
