[sims] Wonde and Sims

Morning all

 

Power that be have signed up to some HR software that uses Wonde and I have some questions about Wonde and Sims

 

Does Wonde write back into Sims?

Does data transfer between happen the moment changes are made?

I believe Wonde supports SIMS writeback if the client apps need it.

 

According to the support rep I was speaking to this morning, "Wonde syncs every 2-4 hours so we are constantly updating throughout the day, applications however sync at different times."

So Wonde will sync from sims to their database periodically through the day, and then the apps will sync from from Wonde on their own schedule.

We use Wonde for quite a few things (FFT, Classcharts, Provision Map etc.) so I can confirm it can definitely write back to SIMS (as Rob said, dependent on the client app doing so).

 

In terms of turn around, it's not instant - we bank on them happening overnight.
