lmgtfy Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 I have been asked to look into options that can be used in our meeting and performance areas. A presenter would use a device that would allow them to not only advance slides but see a preview of the current slide and notes on it. The best option would probably be a second monitor with keyboard and mouse but they want a portal device that can be used on a podium and lectern. Also getting a second monitor and power to the lectern would be difficult. There are a few apps available for an iPad or Android tablet that we could use such as https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/clicker-presentation-remote/id1463878246 but I was wondering if anyone already uses something similar or a bought solution that would do what we are after? Many Thanks

lmgtfy Posted September 29, 2022 Author Posted September 29, 2022 Many thanks for the suggestion. I should have added ideally it would work with our existing desktop setups in the rooms. I guess a Windows tablet would work but then I have to work out how to get this to wireless link to our projectors in each location :-)
LeMarchand Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Quick Assist/RDP/TeamViewer (if you're licensed) or the below (not tried it and not sure how/if it would work or be deployable in a domain setting). 1
p858snake Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 Presenter View in Powerpoint covers seeing the slide notes and next screen etc (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/use-presenter-view-in-powerpoint-fe7638e4-76fb-4349-8d81-5eb6679f49d7), You just need a second screen in extended mode. Depending on what you want to present (eg: not video heavy) you could use laptop/tablet with wireless presentation tool of choice (i've used a surface & MS wireless display adaptor) 1
thimon Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 +1 for Presenter Mode and Microsoft wireless display adapter, if you use Windows devices. We use that setup here no problems
